Vellai Kungiliyam / White Dammar

White Dammar is also known as Vellai Kungiliyam in Tamil and the botanical name of White dammer is Vateria Indica Linn. This resin is extracted from the Indian Copal tree and this tree is highly grown in western Ghat hills and grows up to 40 meters in height. In Ayurveda, it is used to cure wounds, respiratory problems, menstruation problems, and many other diseases.
