Bael Tree is one of the ancient sacred trees in India and it is widely found in holy places like temples. This tree is botanically known as Aegle marmelos, which is native to India but now is widely grown in Sri Lanka, Thailand, and many other parts of Southern Asia. Its bark is smooth and grayish or pale brown in color. This tree bark is mainly used in ayurvedic medicine to treat throat problems, respiratory problems, diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, peptic ulcer, and sexual dysfunctions.
